Why train your dog with Top Notch Dog Training?
Why Top Notch?
We've been in business for over 25 years, helping people to have better
relationships with their dogs. Classes are limited in size to maximize individual
attention. Students are also given help with behavior problems in addition to
training.
Experienced instructors understand your problems & will help find solutions that
work for you & your dog.
We want to help.
We offer a wide variety of services to meet your needs. There are classes for
puppies & dogs that are just starting out, or classes for dogs with previous training.
Other classes include Canine Good Citizen, Rally O, Therapy Dog, Trick Classes,
Competition Level Obedience, Breed Handling & more! Private, in-home training &
behavior consultations are available as well.
We all want our dogs to listen.
We all want our dogs to listen to us no matter what else is happening around us.
In order to do this, you must first build a relationship with your dog. This takes
time & patience!!
By using positive, motivational techniques Top Notch instructors will help you
build this relationship while learning how to get your dog to:
 | | Come when called (the first time!)
|
 | | Stop pulling on leash
|
 | | Have house manners (stop jumping, stealing, begging and more) |
| | |
Training builds a positive relationship with your dog!!

Learn to be your dog's best friend!
Spring is a great time to get outside & have fun with your pet! Here are some common hazards:
- Plants & Bulbs - Many of our decorative plants & bulbs are poisonous to our
pets. Lilies are one the most common poisonous plants found in bouquets and in gardens, but there are many other types of plants that can be poisonous to our dogs and cats as well. Rhododendrons, azaleas, Japanese ewe, foxglove, tulips, oleanders, castor beans, chrysanthemums and many other types of plants can all be very toxic to unsuspecting curious pets.
- Fertilizers & Chemicals - As we treat our lawns & gardens so they will be
lush & green this year, perhaps investigating non toxic alternatives is a good idea for the safety of your pet. It's wise to keep animals off treated areas of your lawn & gardens..
- Fleas & Ticks - 'Tis the season for those pesky parasites to show up! Due to
the mild winter, experts expect the tick population to increase dramatically this year. Make sure your pet is protected against fleas & ticks, and you check them often. Ticks carry lyme, erlichiosis and anaplasmosis which are harmful and can be fatal to your pet!
- Allergies- Allergy season is in full swing! Just like people, dogs can develop
allergies, too - except theirs show up most often as skin irritations. The discomfort of allergies will often trigger behavior issues as well. Your veterinarian can recommend treatment for your pet.
